Florida Resident Special at Brevard Zoo
Calling all Florida families! From September 1–25, 2026, children ages 11 and under enjoy free admission to Brevard Zoo in Melbourne, Florida when accompanied by a paying Florida resident adult.
This deal covers up to three kids per adult. Accompanying adults must present a state-issued photo ID or a utility bill with address and matching photo ID. This promotion cannot be combined with any other discount.
With a child's ticket typically costing $22.95, this deal can definitely help families save some money!
Why Should We Visit Brevard Zoo?
Brevard Zoo is one of our favorite family outings. The zoo has four habitats that boast a variety of animals, such as lions, a jaguar, sloths, and kangaroos. There are also interactive add-ons, such as feeding giraffes and lorikeets, taking a train ride, or doing a ropes course. The zoo is small enough that it's easy to enjoy in a day with young kids, but there are plenty of things to do!
Paws On Area Renovations
The "Paws On" family area, which has a playground and water play area, is our family's favorite part of the zoo. However, it's undergoing a renovation. The water play area is currently open through September 13, while the playground remains closed. Beginning September 14, the entire area will be closed, with a reopening planned for November. With the heat, you might want to take advantage of the kids-free deal before the water play area closes again!
What Should I Bring?
Bring along a bathing suit and towel for the splash area if you are going while it's open. Be prepared for the hot weather with sunscreen, a portable fan, and a reusable water bottle. A stroller or wagon is also helpful when bringing young kids, as you will be doing quite a bit of walking. Don't forget you will also need your Florida ID.
